The Viking defense didn't give Jets QB Eric Franklin much trime to throw and forced the Jets to go 3 and out on their first drive.
 
A Viking turnover set up the Jets at the Viking 15. They were held to another 3 and out but were already in range for this Geoff Prince 25 yard field goal.
 
Jets DE Deke Devers (right) sacked Viking QB Tom Nakane on 3rd and 10 midway through the first quarter. Jets LB Dion Alexander blocked the ensuing punt and Stacy Edwards recovered in the endzone puting the Jets up 10-0.
 
Viking CB Cedric Mars was able to knock this long Eric Franklin pass away from WR Chris Bailey forcing a Jet punt to end the first quarter.

Viking RB Justin Smith bursts through the Jet line and takes off on a 16 yard run to open the second quarter. Except for this run and a 21 yarder later in the second quarter, the Jets pretty much stuffed the powerful Viking rushing attack the entire game.
 
 
The Viking offense put together their first drive of the game midway through the 2nd quarter. This 12 play, 63 yard drive resulted in Jose Moreno's 23 yard field goal.

Despite excellent coverage by Mars, Jets WR Chris Bailey somehow caught this 13 yard touchdown pass from Westendorf Milton Myers returned this punt 22 yards and then caught a 43 yard bomb from Nakane to set up the Vikings first touchdown.
